| This week long class is designed to give an opportunity to enjoy literature by authors with Hispanic roots while earning some extra points. Because this is extra credit, we are expecting an outstanding effort in order to earn points. We expect discussion that shows effort, analysis, and quality writing. Replies that do not display these characteristics will not earn credit. Here are some of the things we are looking for: - Replies to discussion questions that share an experience that is relative to, or comments on the discussion.
- Replies to discussion questions that analyze or extend their ideas or experiences.
- Replies to discussion questions that offer a different perspective or even respectfully disagree with current positions on the issue.
- Replies to discussion questions that explain new ideas you have gained from current discussion.
- Replies to discussion questions that ask questions about the week's topics when something is unclear.
- Replies to discussion that help others to read critically for meaning and literary techniques.
